We were able to camp right next to the monuments and see both sunset and sunrise over the valley. I spent that morning watercoloring the view to use as a reference for this painting! The colors changed completely depending on the light of day, and I ultimately painted the sunset lighting when the monuments glowed with warm light. You can see more photos here!
